The seventh season of the European Poker Tour was launched this week in Tallinn, Estonia and is already breaking records. Day 1a of the EPT saw 182 poker players and 1b with 238 players, a total of 420 players paid the buy-in of € 4,000 + € 250 which breaks all poker tournament records in Estonia. The total prize money was € 1,596,000 and € 400,000 for the winner of the poker tournament.
The German Ali Tekintamgac is the chip leader after day 1a chip, after he last month reached the final table of the IPT in Venice and earned profits in the WPT in Spain. 89 players have survived day 1a and will go to the 2nd day together with the online poker pro Luca Pagano Team PokerStars who is close on the heels of Ali. There are poker players from 41 different countries that participate in the poker online tournament in Tallinn. The EPT is the richest and most famous poker tournament in Europe.
Last season, the prize pool was € 56,672,284 through the registration of more than 9,000 poker players. EPT in Tallinn will run until August 16 at the Swissôtel in the capital of Estonia.
