Today is the start of the biggest poker tournament in Asia in the Casino Grand Lisboa. The Macao Millions has a guaranteed prize pool of 80,800 pounds with a buy-in of 160 pounds.
The tournament runs until August 8 and hundreds of online poker players will flock to the tournament. The tournament has an unusual buy-in structure because players can enter on each of the 5 first days, but they can re-buy the next day when they are eliminated. The top 7 percent of poker players of every day will qualify for the final. In addition a 400 pounds poker event will be held on 7th and 8th August. Both events will count for the Asian Player of the Year rankings for best poker player.
